Your kids will love the famous miniature steam trains that chug for nearly a mile around a beautiful country park. There’s also a lovely trail to follow around the 5 acre lake – just bring boots for welly splashing along the way!
There is also a cool adventure playground for your littles to let loose on, a “Tots’ Village” for the even smaller ones with indoor and outdoor model railways and of course a gift shop selling everything Thomas the Tank Engine!

This is an excellent place to take kids who are interested in history, the military or great buildings. There are plenty of things to keep them entertained, including dressing up boxes!
As well as great exhibits, this museum has lots of events and hands on history events through the year. There are also daily tours that are included in the entry price – bargain!
This is a play centre and mini golf full of pirate-y fun for all weather conditions – great for whiling away an afternoon or two!
Buccaneers’ Indoor Adventure is a huge multi level indoor soft play area that includes a separate section for the dinky ones!

There are lots of water sports and good swimming spots available and there is lifeguard cover June to September.
